One of the few journalists inducted into The Tennis Hall of Fame, STEVE FLINK is an institution.

Since attending Wimbledon at 12 years old, Steve’s had a front seat to The Open Era. By his count, he’s been to over 140 Grand Slams since 1965.

As a writer, Steve has penned several books on the history of tennis . One of the foremost experts on Pete Sampras, Steve is currently completing a book on the legendary player. He’s also contributed to World Tennis MagazineTennis Week and Tennis.com.  And outside of print, he has offered commentary for ESPN and CBS Radio.  And as a statistician, Steve has worked for all the major networks.

On this episode, Steve offers an inside look into the machinations of the press room and the life of a veteran tennis journalist. He explains why he thinks Sampras’ dominance may have been a curse to his legacy. And he tells us what he thinks is the greatest tennis story of the modern era.
