US Open Podcast: Interview with Bianca Andreescu discussing her road to the open. Also, top WTA coach Michael Joyce breaks down the men’s draw.

Open hopeful, BIANCA ANDREESCU is arguably the hottest player in tennis. This year she won Auckland and Indian Wells. She dropped out of Miami with an injury. But she came back on fire to become the first Canadian to win The Canadian Open in 50 years. Now Bianca Andreescu is en route to her first major title and speaking with Craig on the podcast.

We met up with Bianca court-side at Louis Armstrong Stadium during media day. And we walked and talked our way through the alleys and tunnel ways of the Billie Jean King Tennis Center. We discussed her year of wins and injury. She told us how she developed her unique game. And she let us know which Canadian recording artist’s music she wants played as she takes center court.

Bianca’s interview is followed by a discussion with superstar coach Michael Joyce who has been to nearly 30 US Opens. First as a junior; then as a Pro; and finally as a coach where he’s worked with Sharapova, Azarenka, Bouchard, Konta and Pegula. And he is currently coaching Timea Babos. Michael dissects the men’s draw and gives insight into what to look for in the next few weeks and beyond.
